Act I[]
(1) EXT. - THE HEART OF AVALON[]
PAN DOWN from the residue of the Wild Magic portal left by Morgana in Ep. 25. Tendrils of mist slowly drift where the portal has closed.
PAN to the crystallized statue of Kale, standing high atop the frozen pile of the Dragon Wagon, Dweasels, and Grimm.
ANGLE ON - Gwen, Sunstar, Fallon, Moondance, Tamara, Shadowsong, Archie and Ranger stand on the shores of the misty, magical lake. Fallon is using her Moon Stone to scan the sky where Morgana opened a portal and left with the Wizard Jewels.
GWEN
The Wizard Jewels must be forged together to make one new jewel for Merlin.
TAMARA
How do you know that?
GWEN
The spirit of Avalon told me.
ARCHIE
Doo! The Lady of the Lake spoke to you?!
GWEN
Yes. She gave me this.
ARCHIE
Doowahhh, the Staff of Avalon!
GWEN
We have to go to the center of the wild magic and get this staff to Merlin.
FALLON
But Morgana's taken all the Wizard Jewels.
GWEN
It's my fault, I left them where Morgana could get them.
ARCHIE
She didn't take all of the Wizard Jewels.
The girls look at where Archie is looking. On the ground, below the pile of Kale, lies the Dark Stone.
GWEN
Why did she leave this?
TAMARA
She must think she doesn't need it anymore.
Gwen bends to pick up the Dark Stone, and it sparks fire.
ARCHIE
Be careful, Princess! The Dark Stone still has strong magic.
RANGER
I'll carry it for you.
Fallon is focusing her Moon Stone at the wispy tendrils of magic that surround the portal. She forces it open.
FALLON
I've got a trace on those jewels.
GWEN
Jewel Riders, let's ride the wild magic!
FX WIPE TO:
(2) WILD MAGIC - SFX[]
The Jewel Riders ride down the tunnel of magic. Riding hard, they turn with the tunnel, and are shot right out and into the infinite voids of the wild magic.
GWEN
Jewel Riders, use your Magic Glider wings!
Gwen raises her arm and the Jewel Riders open their wild magic glider wings to glide through the open void of magic.
FALLON
Up ahead, can you see it?
TAMARA
Incredible! I've never seen such strong magic!
The tunnel has opened into an immense void and up ahead, in the center can be seen the magical galactic core. Magic emanates from the core and wafts out into various tunnels, like a giant heart beating magic into the veins of the universe.
ARCHIE
Whaahootie!!! Are we sure about this?
Gwen holds up the Staff of Avalon.
GWEN
Onward, Jewel Riders! For the glory of Merlin and Avalon!
The Jewel Riders glide the magic straight into the nexus.
FX WIPE:
(3) EST. EXT. CRYSTAL HENGE[]
ZOOM INTO The Crystal Henge - a magic circle of crystal towers - floats just over the great plane of the cool icy surface. The crystal shafts of the Henge encases a magic forge, an aurora borealis of shifting and changing lights.
In the very center of the forge, floats Merlin. He moves his arms to balance the magical ebb and flow of the core.
MERLIN
So the time has come, Morgana.
ANGLE ON - Morgana stands in front of the Henge, between two towers. In her hands she holds the case of Wizard Jewels.
MORGANA
Now it is you who will spend eternity here while I rule the magic of Avalon.
Morgana opens the jewel case and reveals the wizard jewels to Merlin.
MERLIN
(Chuckles)
We'll see.
MERLIN
(looking around)
It seems you're not the only one who wants these jewels.
Eerie sounds are heard as ghostly images appear from the Wild Magic and swirl around the Henge. The ghosts fly around Morgana reaching their ghostly fingers for the Jewel Box.
MALLORY
My Jewel!
TIBERIUS
My Jewel!!
Morgana clutches the case to her as she commands the wizard ghosts.
MORGANA
Stand back, Wizards!
But the ghostly forms are all fighting for the Jewels, pulling them with ghostly fingers.
MORGANA
These jewels are mine!
A great flash of light and the Jewel Riders appear on the opposite side of the Crystal Henge. Gwen holds the Staff of Avalon high.
GWEN
By the magic of Avalon! We stand ready to defend all that is good!
The magic light of the Staff startles the ghost Wizards and they step back.
MORGANA
Jewel Riders!
JEWEL RIDERS
Merlin!
ARCHIE
Merlie, is it really you?
MERLIN
Yes, I have been here trying to turn all the magic to good, since my jewel was destroyed. You have done well, my students. You have brought the Staff of Avalon.
MORGANA
The Staff of Avalon. Give that to me!
Gwen walks to the center of the Henge, holds the Staff high and plunges it into the ground. The Henge towers light up in magic. The Wizards are awed by this great magic.
WIZARDS
Agh!!
MERLIN
Only one jewel will control the magic. Whoever wields the staff controls that jewel!
MORGANA
I've been ready for a thousand years!
MERLIN
You will have to prove it, Morgana. The jewel must be forged. Will it be tuned to you or to me?
Morgana turns and postures to the Wizards like a grand politician.
MORGANA
Do you see great wizards, one jewel for one ruler!
Morgana raises her arms in a classic gothic pose.
MORGANA
Bow before the new Queen of the Wild Magic!
WIZARDS
(cheering)
Queen Morgana! Morgana!!
Morgana holds the jewel box high. The jewels inside glow with magic.
ANGLE ON - Merlin looks down upon his students.
MERLIN
My students, the future will be decided in a series of magical tests. Are you ready?
The Jewel Riders look to each other. Tamara and Fallon nod to the Princess.
GWEN
We're ready!
ANGLE ON - Morgana, sweeping her arm across the screen.
MORGANA
Let it begin!
Morgana takes The Garden Jewel from the Jewel Box. She raises it high into the air.
MORGANA
The Garden Stone, the Wizard Jewel of Gardenia.
MAGIC JEWEL WIPE TO :
(4) EXT. LAND OF GARDENIA - DAY[]
The Jewel Riders find themselves in the magic land of Gardenia. Before them is the Lair of the Wizard Mallory. The Jewel Riders are in a wide open field, surrounded by topiery sculptures.
TAMARA
Where are we?
FALLON
Gardenia.
GWEN
This is where we found the Garden Stone.
CRASH! - a blast of thunder.
GWEN
Oh, oh. What's that?
ARCHIE
This is wild magic, anything can happen here! Doowah.
Morgana explodes out of the wild magic. She is covered in silver lamay and flies on her flying throne.
FALLON
You got that right.
Morgana holds up the Garden Stone and lets loose a bolt of magic. The magic strikes the topiery creatures. Topiery creatures turn to crystal and come to life. Morgana holds out her arms, laughs, and forces the creatures forward.
The creatures roar and attack. Ranger roars as he transforms into the Beast.
RANGER
Look out! Arg!
The three unicorns leap to the sides as the creatures attack the group. Beast charges the creatures, knocking them to the side.
GWEN
Jewel Power! Sunstar, take us up!
Crystal creature goes after Tamara and Shadow. They leap out of the way as Beast knocks into it. They battle like two huge wrestlers. The creature forces Beast down.
GWEN
We're coming, Ranger!
Gwen and Sunstar dive into the battle. Gwen swings out her Sun Stone and forms her lasso. She whirls it over her head and lassos the creature, pulling it back from Ranger. She pulls the creature across the screen. Flying fast, Sunstar comes around and dives after another creature.
Moondance rears and leaps out of the way as a creature swipes at them. Fallon fires her Moon Stone and it deflects off the creature, refracting in a million pinpoints of light. The creature attacks again, but Moondance is too quick. She leaps out of the way, as Fallon pounds it with her moon beam magic.
FALLON
Our jewel power only bounces off these creatures!
The creatures have surrounded Ranger and Fallon. Morgana flies overhead wielding the Garden Stone.
MORGANA
This is too easy! Ha ha ha ha!!
Gwen flies in.
GWEN
Tamara, use your Heart Stone!
TAMARA
Let's go, Shadow!
Shadow leaps into the action, running right into the middle of the creatures. Leaping past swipes and tails. Tamara holds up her Heart Stone.
TAMARA
Magic of the Heart and music so sweet, give me a song to knock them right off their feet!!
Both Heart Stones fires out a beam of light. An orchestra of magical instruments forms, flying around the creatures. Floating instruments play a blizzard of notes that surrounds the creatures.
TAMARA
Let's increase the beat for some dancing feet!
Tamara and Shadow fire their Heart Beams and the music swirls around faster.
The music is infectious as the creatures begin to dance, twirling around, and stomping up a mighty creature stomp. Archie is dancing around over at the sidelines, flipping about.
ARCHIE
Go, Jewel Riders!
TAMARA
Very nice, Shadow.
SHADOW
Thank you.
Morgana is not pleased. Ranger pushes another creature into the dancing circle.
GWEN
We add the magic of the Sun Stone!
Gwen and Sunstar fire their Sun Stones releasing a flurry of flowers. The flowers get caught in the magic swirl and cover the creatures.
FALLON
We add the magic of the Moon Stone!
Fallon and Moondance fire their moon beams. The beams transform the creatures back into topiery statues, each positioned in a dancing, happy pose.
Morgana holds up The Garden Jewel and is shocked to see it vanish from her hand.
ANGLE ON GWEN - The Garden Stone magically appears in her hand.
JEWEL RIDERS
Cheer!
MORGANA
There's still five Wizard Jewels left!
MAGIC WIPE TO:
(5) EXT. - CRYSTAL HENGE - DAY[]
The Jewel Riders are back at the Crystal Henge. Gwen places the Garden Stone over the Staff of Avalon. The Jewel glows gold. The forge swirls with magical power.
Morgana takes the next jewel from the case. She holds up the Unicorn Jewel.
MORGANA
Let's see how you handle this one!
MAGIC WIPE TO:
(6) EXT. - VALE OF THE UNICORNS - DAY[]
The Jewel Riders find themselves standing in the great Vale of the Unicorns. Before them is the great opening into Unicorn Mountain. The Jewel Riders dismount.
FALLON
(looking around)
The Vale ot the Unicorns!
GWEN
Stay sharp, we don't know what kind of magic we face here.
SUNSTAR
But we do.
GWEN
What do you mean?
MOONDANCE
This contest is for us.
SHADOWSONG
We must go in alone.
GWEN
(to Sunstar)
Are you sure?
TAMARA
The unicorns have been our dearest and closest friends. Merlin said we must trust in our friends.
The unicorns step forward and into the Vale. They vanish.
FX WIPE TO:
MAGIC UNICORN FIELD -
The three unicorns stand on a great field in an indoor cavern. Morgana blazes out of the wild magic wielding the Unicorn Jewel! She flies in low on her flying throne, raising the jewel high!
The unicorns take positions as Morgana fires a blazing energy ball down at the unicorns. The fireball blazes down like a cornet. Moondance runs and bats it with her horn. It fires over to Shadow. Shadow leaps and bats it up. Sunstar flies over and knocks it back to Morgana. Morgana swerves out of the way as -
The fireball explodes like fireworks in the skies. Morgana dives back down, firing a flurry of fire balls with the Unicorn Jewel. The blazing cornets rain down on the unicorns. The unicorns move into a circular pattern, firing the cornets among them and back up to Morgana. The sky is filled with the blazing meteors. The unicorns are getting trapped as the circle of fireballs gets more intense. Moondance is hit and goes skidding into the dirt.
MOONDANCE
Ahh!!
ANGLE OUTSIDE - The Jewel Riders wait anxiously.
FALLON
Moondance!
MOONDANCE
I'm all right!
FALLON
(turns to the girls)
We've got to help them!
GWEN
Sunstar said it was their contest.
FALLON
Who made up these rules anyway?! They're our friends. I say we help!
TAMARA
Let's do it!
GWEN
Right!
The girls run into the mouth of the Vale and vanish.
MAGIC WIPE TO:
MAGIC UNICORN FIELD
The girls land near the unicorns. The 'corns are fighting to keep the fireballs in the air.
FALLON
Let's get some Jewel Power happening!
Fallon uses her Moon Stone to create winged feet on her boots. She takes off like a FLASH! - running super fast. She is beside Moondance and firing her Moon beam.
FALLON
Moondance, I'm with you!
WHAM! Fallon whirls a fireball back at Morgana. The ball explodes, throwing Morgana to the side.
GWEN
I've got this one, Sunstar!
WHAM! Sunstar deflects a ball to Gwen, who uses her Jewel Power to hurl it to Morgana! Morgana's hit again as the meteor explodes in a blaze of light.
MORGANA
Ahrgh!!
Morgana rises up in her floating throne. She fires a mighty blast from the Unicorn Jewel.
TAMARA
Over here, Shadowsong!
Shadowsong leaps into the sky and knocks it to Tamara. Tamara uses her Jewel Power to create a whirling fan around her hand. The fireball hits and reflects off, spinning right to Gwen. Gwen catches the fireball with her Sun Stone magic, like a Lacrosse player catching a speed ball. She holds it up and it is revealed to be the Unicorn Jewel.
JEWEL RIDERS
Yea!!! All right!!
Morgana disappears in an explosion of magical bits.
MAGIC WIPE TO:
(7) CRYSTAL HENGE - DAY[]
Gwen steps forward to add the Unicorn Jewel to the magic staff. Two jewels float together over the Staff, flashing a golden color.
The other wizard ghosts are getting restless as Morgana takes a third Jewel from the Jewel Box.
MORGANA
Four jewels left, can this one turn the tide?
Morgana lifts out the Jewel of the Sea.
TAMARA
The Jewel of the Sea!
A tremendous rumbling is heard as the ground begins to quake.
GWEN
Jewel Riders!
A giant wave thunders out of the wild magic, knocking into the Jewel Riders. They are washed away in the tsunami.
MAGIC WIPE TO:
(8) MAGIC CLAM FIELDS - UNDERWATER[]
The Jewel Riders are thrown into the magical clam beds, at the bottom of the Mermaid Sea.
TAMARA
Use the magic of the Mer-folk!
The Jewel Riders hold up their Jewels and morph into mermaids, the unicorns into seacorns. Ranger is still human, Archie is still owl.
RANGER
Glub, choke
ARCHIE
Wocka wocka
GWEN
Ranger! Archie! Sunstar, we've got to help them.
The Jewel Riders use their jewels to create a magic bubble for Ranger and Archie. They hold the bubble steady.
TAMARA
(Looking around at the clam beds)
The magic clam beds!
GWEN
The Jewel of the Sea, what could happen here?
Suddenly the waters ripple around them.
ARCHIE
We're about to find out.
Morgana blasts out of the wild magic, transformed into a sea witch. She wields the Jewel of the Sea.
MORGANA
The magic of this jewel shall be mine!
Morgana fires the jewel creating a giant funnel in the water. The funnel forms into an underwater tornado that whips through the clam beds. The Jewel Riders are caught in the tornado and whipped around.
JEWEL RIDERS
Ahhhh!
Morgana twirls the tornado like a top.
MORGANA
Ha hah I have you now!
Fallon fires her Moon Stone but has to let go of Archie and Ranger to focus her jewel elsewhere. The bubble flashes.
ARCHIE
Argahootle!
GWEN
No, keep the jewels on Archie and Ranger!
The Jewel Riders are swept away but manage to hold onto the bubble that contains Archie and Ranger.
ANGLE - The Jewel of the Sea blinks strongly in Morgana's hand.
MORGANA
Yes! This one is tuned to me! The other Jewels will be easy now!
She vanishes, leaving the Jewel Riders twirling about in the tornado.
ANGLE - The tornado goes whirling by, tossing up the clam beds.
GWEN
Come on everyone, we need more jewel power!
Tamara calls out to the clams in the clam beds.
TAMARA
I call on the magic of the Clam Dance!
Tamara shines a Heart Beam out to the clams. The clams start snapping and dancing in a clam chorus line around the funnel. The clams whirl around close enough for the Jewel Riders to grab onto. Each of the girls grabs a giant clam shell as the chorus line dances by. The girls and seacorns ride the giant shells and fly out of the swirling funnel.
GWEN
Hang on!
The bubble with Archie and beast/boy is pulled behind the Jewel Riders.
MAGIC WIPE TO:
(9) CRYSTAL HENGE - EXT.[]
The Jewel Riders appear in the Henge. Morgana is in the Henge, posturing to the Wizard Ghosts. The Wizard Ghosts cheer.
WIZARD GHOSTS
Morgana! Morgana!
Morgana adds the Jewel of the Sea to the Staff. Three Jewels float on top of the Staff and turn a bright red.
The magic nebula swirls faster behind Merlin. Merlin struggles to contain the new magical ebb and flow.
GWEN
Morgana's won this round.
MORGANA
(turns to face Merlin)
Soon the magic will be tuned to me, and you will be destroyed!
Morgana turns to bow to the ghost wizards, then raises her hands in victory.
MORGANA
Ha HA HA HAAAA!!!
The three Jewels on the Staff glow red.
** COMMERCIAL BREAK **
Act II[]
(9) EXT. - CRYSTAL HENGE[]
The Jewels glow red on the Staff. Pull back to the Jewel Riders. The magic is swirling stronger around Merlin.
Morgana turns to the Jewel Riders. She holds up the Time Jewel.
MORGANA
This is the Time Stone, a very tricky little magic jewel.
MAGIC WIPE TO:
(10) EXT. - MYSTERY ISLAND - DAY[]
MORGANA
Choose your portal carefully, Jewel Riders. I'll be waiting in one of them.
The Jewel Riders stand in the center of the Mystery Island. The old clock tower stands in the distance. A dozen portals open up around the Jewel Riders, surrounding them.The Jewel Riders look around at the different choices.
GWEN
What do you think, Fallon?
FALLON
Hard to say, I'm getting strong magical readings from all of them!
GWEN
Tamara?
TAMARA
I don't know. Only way is to try them.
GWEN
(pointing to the nearest one)
All right, Sunstar and I will try this one.
ARCHIE
Doowhat?!
FALLON
Not without us!
GWEN
No sense in everyone getting lost.
ARCHIE
Princess, I highly recommend under the circumstances you stay here - with me!
FALLON
Moondance and I will go!
TAMARA
Gwen, she's right, we need you here.
GWEN
All right.
FALLON
All right Moondance, let's do it!
Fallon and Moondance leap through the first portal -
MAGIC WIPE TO:
(11) EXT. - PREHISTORIC AVALON - DAY[]
Moondance leaps out of the portal and lands in the center of Dinosaur Valley, Land of the Lost.
FALLON
Ooops, I don't think this is the right one!
MOONDANCE
Look out!
CHOMP! Dino-Rex chomps down but Moondance leaps out of the way. Fallon fires her Moon Stone and beams him on the nose.
REX
Ouch!
Rex's brother, Silvester has arrived. And here comes his cousins and nephews. Fallon holds up her Moon Jewel high.
FALLON
Jewel of Moon, magic so bright, make us invisible. Hide us with your light!
The Moon Stone makes Fallon and Moondance invisible. They leap out of the way as two Rexs crash into one another.
Moondance runs for the portal as the dinos look around for their lost meal. Moondance makes the leap -
MAGIC WIPE TO :
(12) EXT. MYSTERY ISLAND - DAY[]
Fallon and Moondance leap through the portal and arrive back with the others.
FALLON
(reappearing)
We can count that one out!
TAMARA
Shadow and I will take the next!
GWEN
Be careful!
TAMARA
We will! Let's go, Shadow!
SHADOW
Right!
Shadow and Tamara leap through the next portal.
MAGIC WIPE TO:
(13) EXT. DWEASEL NOOK - WILD MAGIC DWEASEL TEA PARTY[]
Shadow and Tamara leap out and land in Dweasel Nook. The portal vanishes behind them.
TAMARA
What is this place?
SHADOW
I don't know.
TAMARA
Do you see Morgana?
SHADOW
No -wait, what's that?
Loud Dweasel party noises. Tamara turns to see the Dweasel Tea Party in progress.
A long table right out of "Alice in Wonderland" with a talking Dweasel mouse tea pot. Pepe sits at the head of the table wearing a big top hat. Gidney lies on his back on the table tossing bits up into the air and into his mouth.
TAMARA
Dweasels!
Tamara and Shadowsong walk over. Pepe leaps to this feet, and jumps onto the table, sending Gidney flying.
PEPE LA DWEASEL
(jumping and leaping)
Ooo oooo, Jewel Rider! Jewel Rider in the Dweasel Nook!!!
TAMARA
I'm Tamara, this is Shadowsong. Where are we?
GIDNEY
Dweasel Nook!
PEPE
Horne for Dweasels. I'm Pepe.
GIDNEY
And I am Gidney.
TAMARA
It's a pleasure to be meet you.
GIDNEY
It is?!
PEPE
Of course it is! You must stay for tea.
MOUSE TEA POT
Don't have any tea.
PEPE
We don't? What am I drinking?
DWEASEL MOUSE TEA POT
You said it!
TAMARA
(to Shadow)
I've got an idea.
(to Dweasels)
Say, I've heard Dweasels can sniff out wild magical bits.
PEPE
(schwingl)
Wild magic bits!!! yes yes, we live for bits!!
TAMARA
I think there's a magic portal right near here...
PEPE
(leaping for joy)
Oo ooo oo o o magic portal!!
GIDNEY
Magic portal!!!
TAMARA
Do you think you can find it?
DWEASEL
Of course!!!
PEPE
But first-!!!!
TAMARA
First?
SHADOW
First?!
PEPE
We... dance!!!!
GIDNEY
Yes, yes, yes!
The Dweasels leap from the table and dance the Dweasel Dance of Joy.
MOUSE TEA POT
(shrugs)
Eh, it's a living...
ANGLE - The Dweasels are sniffing up a storm.
PEPE
It's here!!
TAMARA
Let me see
She hold up her Heart Stone and fires a beam. The portal reappears.
PEPE
(leaps back in shock)
Gadzooks, man!!! It is here!
Tamara opens the portal farther and they see inside the Mystery Island setting with the dozen portals.
GIDNEY
(waltzing about)
I'm in heaven, Dweasely heaven...
TAMARA
Which one has a magic jewel, do you think?
GIDNEY
(pointing to one of the portals)
That one, that one!!
PEPE
Dem bits, dem bits, dem magic bits...
TAMARA
Thanks for your help, Dweasels!
PEPE
You'all come back now, y'here?
SHADOW
I hope not.
Shadow leaps into the portal.
MAGIC WIPE TO:
(14) EXT. - MYSTERY ISLAND - DAY[]
Tamara and Shadow leap out of the portal and into the circle of portals.
GWEN
Tamara, are you all right?
TAMARA
Fine, fine.
ARCHIE
Doot, nice hat.
Shadow still wears his party hat.
SHADOW
Thank you.
Tamara removes it for him.
TAMARA
(pointing to another portal)
We think that one is the right portal.
GWEN
All right, Sunstar and I are going through.
ARCHIE
But, Princess!
GWEN
No, I'm as much a part of the team as you are. Stay here, Archie.
ARCHIE
But but but but but -
GWEN
That's an order!
RANGER
I'll go with her.
GWEN
(to Ranger)
Are you sure?
RANGER
Yes.
GWEN
All right.
Sunstar and Gwen leap through as Ranger follows -
MAGIC WIPE TO:
(15) EXT. - CRYSTAL ICE FLOW - DAY[]
They have landed on an ultra-thin layer of ice. The ice extends to the horizon.
The ice is ultra-sheer and cracks when Sunstar steps forward. Gwen dismounts.
RANGER
I can sense strong magic here.
SUNSTAR
So can I.
The three take a step forward, then another.
GWEN
Seems solid enough.
Morgana sweeps out of a portal.
MORGANA
Isn't this a wonderful sight!
Morgana raises the Time Stone and fires. Double magic blast, one from each end of the Time Stone.
CRACKl
Long jagged lines race along the ice, opening it like fissures. A line runs between Gwen, Sunstar, and Ranger, separating them.
RANGER
Gwenevere, look out.
Ranger pushes Gwen to the center section of stable ice. With hand outstretched, Ranger is torn away as the ice splits and fissures. Mists rise from the bottomless oblivion in the ice cracks.
Sunstar tries to fly but the ice floor wraps around her freezing her in a crystal block of ice. The Sunstar-cicle drops but Gwen catches it with her Sun Stone.
SUNSTAR
Ahh!
GWEN
Sunstar!
On her other side, Ranger is also trapped in a crystal ice block. He falls as Gwen turns and catches him, splitting the Sun Beam to both sides of her. Gwen uses her Sun Stone to try and pull both of them back up to the center ice floor.
MORGANA
I've got you this time. You can only save one, choose well Princess!
Ranger transforms into beast to try and fight the magical icy shrink wrap, but the magic is too strong.
GWEN
(struggling)
Ranger!
MORGANA
That's the trouble with you Jewel Riders, always thinking of others first. That is your weakness and my strength!
The Time Stone glows strong in Morgana's hand. Morgana vanishes with the Jewel.
Ranger and Sunstar sink into the misty oblivion. Gwen doesn't know who to save, Sunstar or Ranger. She can't hold both.
RANGER
Save Sunstar!
GWEN
(frantic)
Oh no what do I do?
RANGER
Listen to me and save Sunstar!
GWEN
(she makes her decision)
I'm sorry, Ranger.
Gwen let's go of Ranger and focuses the full strength of the Sun Stone to pull in Sunstar. Ranger falls into the mists.
Gwen pulls Sunstar to the center ice and defrosts her. She leans over the edge and looks down into the mists.
GWEN
(fighting the tears)
Oh, my brave champion... Have I lost you forever?
SUNSTAR
Gwen, we have to get back to the others.
GWEN
Let's go!
Gwen swings Sunstar around and they leap through the portal.
MAGIC WIPE TO:
(16) EXT. - MYSTERY ISLAND - DAY[]
Gwen leaps through the portal on Sunstar.
FALLON
Gwen!!
GWEN
Morgana was in there.
TAMARA
Where's Ranger?
GWEN
He's gone, he saved Sunstar.
ARCHIE
Oh my!
TAMARA
I'm sorry, Gwen.
GWEN
(anger building)
Come on, we're going back and deal with Morgana!
MAGIC WIPE:
(17) EXT. - CRYSTAL HENGE - DAY[]
The Jewel Riders leap through the portal and land near the Henge. Merlin is struggling in the changing wild magic forge. The colors are shifting to reds and purples.
Morgana turns in triumph as the Wizard Ghosts cheer.
WIZARDS
Cheeers!!
MORGANA
Thank you, great wizards. My time...
Morgana holds up the Time Stone -
MORGANA
-and yours, is at hand!!
WIZARDS
Cheeers!!
She places the Time Stone near the other Jewels and they swirl together bright red.
GWEN
(crying)
Merlin, he's gone.
MERLIN
My child, life is full of challenges. This is but one more test for you.
MORGANA
I grow weary of this! I call on the Jewel of Arden!
Morgana holds up the jewel.
MERLIN
Do not despair, Princess.
MAGIC WIPE TO:
(18) THE FORESTS OF ARDEN - DUSK[]
The Jewel Riders arrived in the Circle of the Wraiths. Smoke rises around the Jewel Riders as they look at the destroyed ruins of the magical forest site.
GWEN
The Circle of the Wraiths?!
FALLON
Why are we here?
TAMARA
The magic of Arden is here.
GWEN
(furious)
It was here... who could have done this!!!
FLASH
MORGANA flies out of the wild magic and glides over the circle.
MORGANA
What a ghastly place, I love it!
GWEN
Morgana!
MORGANA
I'm right here, Princess Gwenevere. Your beast boy lived here, didn't he... or what's left if it.
GWEN
(furious)
You'll pay for this!!!
Gwen whips out her Sun Stone and points it directly at Morgana.
TAMARA
Gwen, no! That way isn't right, don't you see?!
GWEN
(screams out)
Tamara, let go of me!!
She tosses Tamara to the side and swings back to face Morgana.
Morgana floats close by, taunting and teasing Gwen.
MORGANA
You want to do something about it, don't you, Dear.
GWEN
Come on, Morgana, just you and me!!!
MORGANA
That's it!! Let your anger go!
FALLON
Gwen, no!!
ARCHIE
Princess, listen to your friends!
GWEN
I'll... I'll... No, this is not the way.
Gwen lowers her Sun Stone.
MORGANA
Fire your Sun Stone!!
GWEN
I'll never be like you.
The Jewel of Arden vanishes from Morgana's hand and appears in Gwen's hand.
MORGANA
(vanishes)
No!!
Morgana fades away.
The circle comes alive with wraiths. They swirl around and reveal Ranger lying on a tree stump in the center of the circle. He is covered in the magic shrink wrap glow from the ice cliff.
ARIENDA
Gwenevere, only you can break the spell.
Gwen walks over and looks upon Ranger. She leans in and kiss him.
GWEN
*magic kiss*
The magic kiss breaks the spell. The glow fades, Ranger awakens.
RANGER
Gwenevere...
GWEN
Ranger...
The circle transforms and becomes alive and beautiful once again.
ARIENDA
With the magic of love, you have the most powerful magic of all. You have done well, Princess. All of Avalon stands with you!
MAGIC WIPE TO:
(19) CRYSTAL HENGE - DAY[]
The Jewel Riders appear back at the Crystal Henge. Gwen steps forward and places the Jewel of Arden near the others.
The ring of Jewels glow golden once again, then red, then golden. The magic is swirling as Merlin struggles to contain it in the forge.
MORGANA
So it's down to the last Jewel.
She holds up the Fortune Jewel.
MORGANA
Let this jewel tell us who shall rule the wild magic. Tell us, Fortune Jewel!
Morgana spins the Jewel. It flies into the air spinning, and spinning...
ANGLE - the ghost wizards all reach out as the jewel spins past them. The jewel spins to the staff and connects to the other jewels in a great flash of magic. The One Jewel looks like it could form. The wild magic forge swirls like crazy and - explodes!
The magic is loose as it flies from crystal henge to henge. A swirling circle of magic runs from tower to tower.
Merlin is wrenched free of the magic nebula and thrown clear.
MERLIN
Argg!!
The image of Morgana, sitting high in her throne in the wild magic replaces Merlin in the forge.
MORGANA
Yes, I knew it! I will rule the magic!
WIZARDS
Morgana!! Morgana!!
Morgana leaps to take Merlin's place. The magic calms and is pulled back around Morgana. She now controls the flow of magic.
WIZARDS
Magic!! Magic!!
The wizards all run into the magic forge. Morgana raises her arms and tries to pull the Staff and the One Jewel to her.
But the Staff does not move. The Jewel has not yet forged into One Jewel, there are still 6 Wizard Jewels, together, but still separate. They glow red, gold, red, gold...
MORGANA
Wait, why hasn't the Jewel formed? What's wrong?
MERLIN
Did you forget, Morgana? There's one more Wizard Jewel.
Ranger holds up the Dark Stone he has kept.
MORGANA
My Dark Stone!! That jewel is already tuned to me! Ha ha ha ha! Come to me, my Dark Jewel!
MERLIN
Princess Gwenevere, it's up to you now. Only you can forge the jewel!
MORGANA
Yes, add the magic of the Dark Stone!
GWEN
Merlin?
MERLIN
You know what you must do.
Gwen holds up the Dark Stone and the Sun Stone.
GWEN
The Dark Stone and the Sun Stone.
MERLIN
It's always come down to this, my Princess. The forces of dark and light must come together. Only one will win.
GWEN
(calls out)
Let goodness and love forever triumph over the forces of darkness!
Gwen hold up the Dark Stone and the Sun Stone. One glows red, the other golden. She pushes them together. Magic flares out. The magic is wild and encases Gwen, spreading out.
GWEN
Ahh! Help me!
TAMARA
Fallon, Archie, Ranger, hold hands. Help her!
Her friends stand around her, holding hands in a Jewel Circle. Gwen is covered in swirling magical fire, as the magic of the Dark Stone and the Sun Stone lash out against one another.
SUNSTAR
Moondance, Shadowsong, she needs usl
The unicorns join in the circle as they fight to contain the erupting magic.
GWEN
My friends... help me!!!
There is a great flash of light. The Gliders fly out with the Pack.
DRAKE
What the- Princess?!!
TAMARA
Drake, Max, Josh join our circle, bring in the wolves!
DRAKE
Let's move!
The magic circle is enlarged as Gwen's friends all join hands and fight to protect her from the fire.
BOOM! A magical explosion shakes the Henge. As the magical mist clears, Gwen rises into the shot and raises up the Sun Stone!
GWEN
**laughs triumphantly**
Gwen stands with her friends. She holds the Sun Stone high. The Sun Stone has absorbed the magic of the Dark Stone. Gwen fires at the Staff and the Wizard Jewels becomes fused together to reveal the One Jewel. It is now attached to the Staff of Avalon, forever.
MORGANA
The Jewel!
Morgana reaches for it with tendrilly fingers, but - Gwen reaches in and takes the Staff of Avalon - she turns and hands it to Merlin. The magic of the jewel turns Merlin from transparent to whole. He is back. Merlin takes the Staff and fires at the forge, shrinking it.
MORGANA
Nooooo! Ak!
The forge shrinks, shrinks and vanishes taking Morgana and the other wizards with her.
ARCHIE
Merlie!!!
Archie flies into the arms of Merlin. Merlin hugs his owly friend. Group hug.
MERLIN
Ah, Archimedes... my friend.
MERLIN
You have done very well, my students.
GWEN
Merlin. We've won, Morgana and the other wizards are gone!
MERLIN
Darkness always returns, my child. But the strength and love of our friends will hold the darkness back.
TAMARA
We have so much to tell you, Merlin.
FALLON
So many adventures.
MERLIN
And many more ahead, my students. Life is always a circle, full of new beginnings.
GWEN
Let's go home.
MERLIN
Lead on, Jewel Riders. Let us begin... again.
THE BEGINNING
